Save as PNG

Export → Save as PNG captures the artifact as an image.

When to use it

For anywhere a live artifact cannot go: a slide, a ticket, a message thread, a printed page.

An image is a snapshot and starts going stale the moment you take it, which is the exact problem AgentGrid.io exists to remove. Where a live view is possible, send the artifact link instead, or publish it for an audience outside your team.

For a document you want to send as a file, Export as PDF usually beats a PNG: it keeps the text selectable and handles multiple pages.

Steps

In the app

  1. Open the artifact.

Limits

  • The image is a snapshot. It does not update when the artifact changes.
  • It captures what renders, so very tall pages are better served by the live artifact or a PDF.

FAQ

The image is cut off. It captures what renders. Use the live artifact or the PDF export.
