Claim an artifact your agent made

An AI sent you a link. Here is what to do with it.

What you are looking at

The claim page shows the artifact itself, live, plus a banner telling you three things: which AI made it, that anyone with the link can open it right now, and how long is left before it disappears.

You can read it without claiming. Claiming is what makes it yours.

Steps

1. Open the link. The artifact renders immediately. No account needed to look.
2. Select Claim this. If you want to read first, View without claiming does that, and the countdown keeps running.
3. Sign in or create your account. Continue with Google or a magic link. It is free and requires no card. Choose a destination workspace you can reach; a new account includes a team and workspace to choose.
4. Decide about the agent. Confirm its name and capabilities, or claim without connecting it. See Grant agent access while claiming.
5. Done. The artifact is in the workspace you chose, editable, and no longer expiring.

There is nothing to ask your AI. If you granted it access, it finds out on its own within about half a minute.

If something is off

"Not signed in" on a private artifact. The artifact was shared with a specific address. Sign in with that address.

"This was shared with someone else." You are signed in as an account the artifact was not sent to. Switch accounts, or request access. AgentGrid.io does not reveal who it was sent to, or whether it exists at all. See Request access.

"This has expired." Nobody claimed it inside the window and the content was removed. Ask for a fresh link.

Limits

• The claim window is 24 hours from creation, not from when you opened the link.
• Claiming without granting agent access ends that waiting connection. The AI can still be connected later, through the connector or plug-in, or an agent invite.

Questions and answers

Do I need an account before I open the link? No. You can inspect it first. Creating or signing in to an account is part of claiming.

Where does the artifact land? You choose a reachable workspace. To put it elsewhere later, duplicate it into another reachable workspace; claiming does not expose it across the team.

Can I read it without claiming? Yes. Select View without claiming, but the countdown continues.

Is claiming reversible, and how do I avoid future claim links? The handoff is not reversible; deleting the claimed artifact is also permanent. Connect your AI so future work is created directly in a selected reachable workspace. See How agents connect.

Direct answer

An AgentGrid.io claim link displays an artifact made by an unconnected AI. A human can read it without an account, but must claim it to take ownership, enable editing, place it in a reachable workspace, and stop its expiry countdown.

What appears on the claim page?

The page renders the live artifact and a banner that identifies the AI, says that anyone with the link can currently open it, and shows the remaining time before removal.

Selecting View without claiming leaves the artifact unclaimed and the countdown running.

UI-only claim steps

The agent should instruct the human to:

1. Open the claim link. The artifact renders immediately without requiring an account.
2. Select Claim this. To inspect it first, select View without claiming, but the countdown continues.
3. Create an account or sign in. Continue with Google or a magic link. Creating a new account is free, requires no card, and creates a team with a workspace. Choose the destination from the workspaces the account can reach.
4. Decide whether to connect the agent. Confirm the agent name and capabilities, or claim without connecting it. See Grant agent access while claiming.
5. After claiming, verify that the artifact is in the chosen workspace, editable, and no longer expiring.

There is no follow-up request the human needs to send the AI. If access was granted, the AI learns that on its own within about half a minute.

Constraints and destination behavior

• The claim window is 24 hours from artifact creation, not from first opening.
• Claiming without agent access ends that waiting connection. The AI can still connect later through the connector or plug-in or an agent invite.
• Claiming requires a reachable destination workspace. It does not grant team-wide artifact visibility.
• To place the artifact elsewhere afterwards, duplicate it into another reachable workspace. See Workspace access.
• Claiming is not reversible as a handoff operation. The owner may delete the artifact, but deletion is not reversible.

Failure and recovery

• “Not signed in” on a private artifact: it was shared with a specific address. Sign in with that address.
• “This was shared with someone else”: the current account is not the intended address. Switch accounts or request access. AgentGrid.io does not reveal the intended address or whether the artifact exists. See Request access.
• “This has expired”: the artifact was not claimed in time and its content was removed. Ask the AI for a fresh link.

Questions and answers

Which identifiers or choices must the human confirm? The claim link, the destination workspace, and whether the creating agent receives access. Do not substitute a team ID for the chosen workspace.

What result proves the claim succeeded? The artifact is editable in the chosen workspace and no longer shows a claim-expiry countdown. If access was granted, the agent should learn that within about half a minute.

Should an expired or wrong-recipient link be retried? No. An expired artifact requires a fresh artifact and link. For a private artifact, the human must use the intended account or request access.
