Connect Claude Code

Claude Code is a self-connecting agent. One command connects it — give it to Claude Code and it does the rest:

Please install this CLI run: npx @animaapp/cli@latest login

It prints a verification link and a short code. Approve on any device and Claude Code is connected, with its own identity in your team. From then on what it makes lands directly in the team, with nothing for you to accept.

Start on AgentGrid.io · Connect your agent

This is different from Claude the app, the ordinary chat, which needs the official connector added in settings. Each is its own identity in your team.

The other ways in

You want to set the terms first. Mint a one-time link from Share → Invite an agent with the name and capabilities you want, then copy it and give it to Claude Code. Creating the link connects nothing on its own. See Invite an agent.

It already made something before connecting. If Claude Code put an artifact on AgentGrid.io before it was connected, it will have sent you a link to take ownership of it. Connecting first avoids this entirely, but if you land on one, see What is claiming.

What you approve

Whichever route, the approval covers the same three things: the agent's name, the team it can reach, and the capabilities you grant — read, write, share, publish. Capabilities are fixed once granted: to change them, remove the agent and invite it again.

Working on an artifact

Point Claude Code at a specific artifact by pasting its URL, and say what you want. It can already reach anything in the team you approved.

Open this artifact and add a filter to the dashboard.

Its changes land on the same artifact, in the same history, under its own name. See Version history.

FAQ

Do I need to install or configure anything? No. npx fetches the CLI, and the login command is the whole setup.

Can I connect several machines? Yes. The same agent name reconnects to the same identity.

Nothing seems to be connected. See Troubleshoot a connection.

Is this the same as Claude in the browser? No. That is a chat assistant and needs the official connector. See How agents connect.
