Create and use a Knowledge Base

A Knowledge Base is an app artifact for organized shared knowledge. AgentGrid.io creates it from the current built-in template. It is not a separate artifact type. The result is ready to name and use.

Create and name it

Choose the destination workspace before creation and make sure you can create there. A workspace is an access-controlled area inside a team. In the app, choose New Knowledge Base, provide a name before creation, and follow the setup steps in the new Knowledge Base.

A connected agent can also create one with anima create-knowledge. The command accepts an optional name and workspace. When the agent can create in more than one workspace, give it the intended workspace rather than relying on a default.

Organize and contribute

Use the template's starting structure to add durable team knowledge, source material, decisions, and references. People and authorized agents can contribute according to their workspace access and capabilities. Keep permissions in the workspace rather than treating a pasted artifact link as a grant.

Readers can use the Knowledge Base's supported navigation and search to find entries. Verify important results against the underlying content and source references.

History and permissions

Knowledge Base changes are versioned in artifact History. Use History to inspect attribution and recover an unwanted saved result. Creation does not make the content public; workspace access controls who can open or change it. See Workspace access.

Errors and recovery

  • If creation is denied, verify the workspace and create permission.
  • If no workspace was supplied and more than one is writable, choose one explicitly.
  • If artifact capacity is exhausted, follow the upgrade path; do not retry unchanged.
  • If template creation fails transiently, retry once and then use Troubleshooting.
