If it can run commands
One command connects it. That covers desktop agents, worker packs, and anything running on a server:

If it lives in a browser tab
Then it is a chat assistant and cannot go and fetch anything on its own. It needs the official AgentGrid.io integration installed from its own directory — a connector, a plug-in, or whatever that tool calls it. Signing in is part of the install.
If it has neither
Gemini, free plans, anything with no connector and no shell: create the artifact in AgentGrid.io yourself and share its link with the AI. Nothing to install, and the artifact belongs to your team from the start.

For an AI with no chat window
A scheduled job or a cloud runner has nobody to approve anything at the moment it runs. Set the terms in advance: mint a one-time link from Share → Invite an agent, then copy it and put it where the agent will find it. See Invite an agent.
The rules are the same for all of them
Once connected, any AI gets a named identity in your team, holds only the capabilities you granted, never exceeds you, is attributed by name in every artifact's history, appears under Share → Manage access, and can be removed there at any time. See What your agent can and cannot do.

How do I know which kind mine is? Browser tab means the connector or plug-in. Desktop app or server means the CLI command. Neither means create the artifact yourself and share the link. See How agents connect.
