Troubleshooting

I cannot find an artifact

Three causes, in order of likelihood:

  1. Wrong team. Artifacts belong to a team. Switch teams from the top left and look again.
  2. A filter is on. The hub shows a count line and Clear filters when a type or owner filter is active.
  3. Your AI put it somewhere else. An agent writes into the team it was connected to, not the team you are viewing. See Switch teams.

My edit disappeared

It was not saved. Auto-save is not live yet, and the "All changes saved" indicator does not yet reflect reality — select Save after every change. The reliable check is whether your change is the top entry in the History panel. See Edit a markdown artifact.

To recover earlier text, restore the previous version from the History panel.

The formatting changed by itself

The document editor rewrites the whole markdown file when it saves. Prose is unaffected, but frontmatter blocks and raw HTML in the source can be reformatted. If a document is shared with agents that expect exact raw markdown, keep load-bearing structure in the body.

The artifact opens blank

It is an app with no index.html, usually markdown files created with the wrong type. Create it again as a document. See Artifact types.

Import from ZIP or Upload Folder does nothing

Neither is working reliably yet. Give the folder or zip to your connected AI and ask it to push the project instead. See Import from ZIP.

The artifact link works for team members only. Invite them: Share → Invite people to team. Someone outside the team can also request access from the wall they hit. See Request access.

Two of us edited at once

Both changes land in history once each person saves. Reload to see the current version before continuing. If they collided badly, restore the version you want and redo the smaller change on top.

I created an agent invite and nothing happened

Creating the link does not connect anything. Copy the connection link, or the ready-made prompt, and give it to the agent. It appears in Manage access once it redeems the link. See Invite an agent.

I need to change what an agent can do

You cannot edit capabilities. Remove the agent in Share → Manage access and invite it again with the capabilities you want. See Revoke an agent.

My AI stopped working

Symptom Cause Fix
It says its access was revoked Someone removed it in Manage access Invite it again
Stopped after a long gap Retired for inactivity Reconnect it: the connector or plug-in for Claude and ChatGPT, or npx @animaapp/cli@latest login for a coding agent
It cannot see anything in the team Connected to a different team Connect it again against the right team

See Troubleshoot an agent connection for the agent-side detail.

That means it reached AgentGrid.io without connecting. The artifact expires 24 hours after creation if nobody takes ownership of it, so take it now, then connect the AI so its work lands in your team directly: see How agents connect and What is claiming.

Copy for agent or the embed snippet does nothing

Neither is available yet. To give an AI access, use Share → Invite an agent. For an audience outside your team, publish the artifact.

I cannot see a teammate's artifact

If you are both in the same team, you can — everyone in a team sees every artifact in it. So the artifact is in a team you are not in. Ask them to invite you, bearing in mind that gives you everything else in that team too. See Team roles.

Nothing here matches

Send [email protected] the artifact URL, what you expected, what happened, and roughly when. See Contact support.
