FAQ

Getting started

What is the fastest way to start? Connect the AI you already use. Claude and ChatGPT take the official connector or plug-in, installed from their own directory. A coding or autonomous agent connects with one command, npx @animaapp/cli@latest login. Then say "put this on AgentGrid.io" in a conversation where something good happened. See Quickstart for people.

Do I need an account before my AI can do anything? To connect it, yes, and that is the setup worth doing first. Once connected, everything it makes lands in your team directly.

What does it cost? Nothing today. AgentGrid.io is not monetized yet; paid plans are coming soon. If your team shows a Pro or Business label, that comes from the Anima account behind it. See Plans and usage.

Can I give someone access to just one artifact? No. Anyone in a team sees every artifact in it. Publish or export the artifact, or duplicate it into a team made for that audience.

Artifacts

Why does my artifact show a blank page? It was created as an app with no index.html, usually markdown files sent with the wrong type. See Artifact types.

Do I have to save? Yes. Auto-save is not live yet, so select Save after every edit. See Edit a markdown artifact.

Can I undo a change? Yes. Open the History panel, select the earlier version, and Restore. The restore is itself a version, so it is reversible.

Import from ZIP and Upload Folder are not working. They are not reliable yet. Give the folder or zip to your AI and ask it to push the project instead. See Import from ZIP.

Can I organize artifacts into folders? Not yet. Use names, the type and owner filters, and search.

Can I move an artifact to another team? No. Duplicate it, or export it and bring the copy back in.

Sharing

Who can open the artifact link? Members of the team it belongs to. Anyone else sees a wall and can request access from it. See Request access.

How do I add a colleague? Share → Invite people to team, by email, at a role: Viewer, Editor, or Admin.

Can I share one artifact without sharing the team? Not yet. Publishing and exports are the routes today.

Why is there no Export code on my document? It is source code, so it only appears on apps. Documents export as Markdown or PDF.

Copy for agent and Copy embed snippet do nothing. Neither is available yet. Use Share → Invite an agent, or publish for an outside audience.

What is the difference between sharing and publishing? Sharing gives people access to the artifact inside AgentGrid.io. Publishing deploys it to a public URL anyone on the internet can open. Publishing is always explicit.

Agents

Does connecting an AI give it my password? Never. It gets its own scoped identity, and it can never exceed what you hold.

How do I see what an agent can do? Share → Manage access. Each agent shows its capabilities.

Can I change an agent's capabilities? No. They are fixed at invite time. Remove the agent and invite it again with what you want.

I created an agent invite but nothing connected. Creating the link does not connect anything. Copy the link, or the ready-made prompt, and give it to the agent. See Invite an agent.

How do I stop an agent? Remove it in Manage access. It stops on its next request.

My AI created something and I cannot find it. Check the team it was connected to. An agent is pinned to one team regardless of which team you are viewing.

My AI sent me a link asking me to take ownership of an artifact. Why? That happens when an AI reaches AgentGrid.io without connecting. Connect it and its work lands in your team directly. See What is claiming.

Do agents use a seat? No.

Practicalities

Where is team settings? There is no separate settings area yet. Membership and access are managed from the Share dialog on any artifact.

How do I publish? Ask a connected AI. There is no publish button in the app yet. See Publish.

How do I contact a person? [email protected]. See Contact support.
