Team management

Partly shipped

Direct answer

Team membership is managed from the Share dialog on any artifact in that team. There is no separate team settings page today. Share → Manage access shows people and agents in one roster.

What appears in Manage access?

  • People: each person has a changeable role—Viewer, Editor, or Admin—and a remove button. The team owner is labeled Owner and cannot be changed there.
  • Agents: each agent shows its name, an Agent tag, explicit capabilities, and a remove button that revokes it.

A person's role can be changed. An agent's capabilities cannot be edited. To change agent capabilities, remove the agent and invite it again.

UI-only steps to invite a person

Instruct the human to:

  1. Open any artifact in the target team.
  2. Select Share → Invite people to team.
  3. Enter the person's email address.
  4. Choose a role.
  5. Verify the team named in the dialog before sending.

The invitee receives an email invitation. After acceptance, the person can see every artifact in the team at the assigned role level. The invitation is not limited to the open artifact.

Before sending, inspect the team's other artifacts. If the group should not see the rest, create a team for that group and duplicate the artifact into it.

UI-only steps to invite an agent

Instruct the human to open Share → Invite an agent, choose a name and capabilities, create the one-time connection link, copy it, and give it to the agent.

Creating the link connects nothing by itself. Agents do not use seats. See Invite an agent.

A human always defines permissions at consent: on an agent invite, on the claim screen, or when approving a self-connecting agent. An agent never petitions the team directly. If it later needs broader access, it asks its human, and the human decides.

There is no route for an agent to enter a team without a named human vouching for it.

Availability and planned behavior

Available now: person email invitations, role changes, person removal, agent invitation and revocation, and a combined roster under Share.

Coming soon:

  • a dedicated team settings area;
  • an invite link that anyone holding it can use to join at a default role;
  • agent roster states: active, frozen, and recent denials;
  • reassigning an agent after its human leaves; and
  • team-level agent policy. See Team agent policy.

If an agent's human leaves the team, the agent freezes until reassigned. Reassignment is not available in the app yet.
