Team agent policy

Team agent policy is coming soon and is not available in the product. There is no team settings area yet. The design adds team-wide limits above the existing per-agent grants managed through Share → Manage access.

Planned policy settings

• Maximum capabilities anyone may grant: a team ceiling. An individual agent may hold less, never more. Disabling publish prevents every agent in the team from publishing regardless of individual approval.
• Default capabilities at consent: controls preselected approval and invite capabilities. Today all four capabilities are selected by default.
• Re-consent cadence: determines how often agents need approval again.
• Freeze idle agents: denies dormant agents until re-approved.
• Accept anonymous work into this team: controls whether claimed work from an uninvited AI may land in the team.
• Require approval for team agents: controls whether an organization-level agent needs an admin steward.

Why policy differs from consent

Consent is per-human and per-agent. Policy is per-team and limits what any human may grant. A ceiling prevents one generous approval—especially with all four invite boxes currently preselected—from defining team exposure.

Planned team agents

A team agent would act for the team with a named human steward, supporting shared work such as nightly reports without tying operation to its creator. Personal agents freeze when their human leaves until reassigned. A team agent would continue because its steward is a role rather than a person.

What humans should do today

Because these settings have not shipped, instruct humans to grant conservatively during consent: clear share and publish unless required, and review Manage access periodically. Existing capabilities are not editable; narrowing them requires removal and re-invitation.

Planned enforcement semantics

Policy can shrink an already-connected agent because enforcement is per-request against live permissions. During required re-consent, the agent stops until human re-approval. A frozen agent remains connected but denied until re-approved.
